had a blast in your past?

Do you even look back sometimes and then say to your self, "I could have done better."? Well, sometimes I do. But the truth is, we can never change how we could have responded to things last week, or the other day. And, living even just in "little" regrets won't help at all.

    "The Lord will sure comfort Zion
and will look with compassion on all her ruins;
   he will make her deserts like Eden,
her wastelands like the garden of the Lord.
 Joy and gladness will be found in her,
   thanksgiving and the sound of singing."
                  - Isaiah 51:3

I ran into that verse in one of my quiet time and I just felt God's comfort. I was reminded that no matter how ruined we are in our past, God has always been looking unto us with compassion. Our actions will always have consequences in the future.  It's not what God wanted. It's the choice that we made. But, God's love and mercy never stopped flowing for us no matter what we have done. That's just who God is. And in Him, is always a hope and a comfort that we can always be better.

What are the deserts in our life? Or, I must say, what is making our life dry up?
Is our life like a wasteland? Barren, empty?

Do your remember the garden of Eden? It was abundant, full of life. That's the kind of life God would want us to live.
A life always full of joy and gladness despite adversities. A heart full of thanksgiving despite disappointments and frustrations.

I, myself, have to be reminded over and over by all of these words I've written.  Because like all of you, my life here will always be a work in-progress.

Believe not in me, but in His Words...
   " Forget the former things;  do not dwell on the past.  See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? ... " (Isaiah 43:18-19)

To God be the glory! :D
